Each item is examined, measured, photographed, and documented. Additional market research may be completed after the appointment when necessary.

Basic Jewelry Cleaning
Eligible jewelry receives a complimentary basic cleaning during the appointment. More involved cleaning, repair, restoration, polishing, or servicing is not included.

Digital Appraisal Reports
Completed reports are delivered digitally through a secure process after all necessary examination, research, and report preparation have been completed.

UGA can help you organize the necessary appraisal documentation and begin the process of requesting jewelry insurance coverage.

Your Appraisal Records, Securely Maintained
UGA maintains digital copies of completed appraisal reports in its secure records system according to its current document retention and privacy practices. This can make it easier to access previous reports, review your appraisal history, and determine when updated documentation may be appropriate.
Clients remain responsible for keeping their own copies of all reports and supporting documents.

Every concierge appointment is handled with respect for the client's privacy, property, schedule, and location. Information about the client, jewelry collection, address, business, documents, and appraisal results is treated as confidential, subject to legal requirements and the terms of the appraisal engagement.
Client names, collections, addresses, photographs, and appraisal results are never published in website content or social media without written permission.

The location must provide a clean, secure, well-lit workspace with appropriate access to electricity and enough time to complete the scheduled examination.
Basic cleaning, what is covered
Complimentary basic cleaning is available only when UGA determines that the item can be cleaned safely using the available method. Fragile, antique, damaged, treated, porous, heavily soiled, or mechanically complex pieces may be excluded. Basic cleaning does not include repair, restoration, refinishing, polishing, stone tightening, watch servicing, or damage correction.
Insurance Assistance
From Appraisal to Insurance Documentation
Once the appraisal process is complete, UGA can help the client organize the information commonly requested when applying for jewelry insurance and direct the client to an appropriate insurance application process when available.
